You have a voice and I want you to use it. I want you to use it for raising awareness to whatever it is that’s on your heart. No matter how inappropriate society might consider it, and no matter how uncomfortable it could make some people feel.
Your art, your thoughts, and your opinion are meant to be authentic in the first place, not pretty, not reliable, not censored, not easy to swallow.
You are meant to be who and what you want to be, and to express this freely. And I know this sentence is so over-used, but it’s oh so important and I cannot stress it enough.
Especially when working in the creative field so many people have the urge to not only comment your art and you as a person, but also feel the need to decide what you are allowed to publish and who you are allowed to be. Without wanting to blame every man on this planet, I have experienced that especially men feel intimidated and provocated by confident women, and almost feel offended when a woman feels comfortable in her body, and with the work she creates. And I even experienced girls and women who fell for the trap, and shamed their sisters for expressing themselves comfortably in divine feminine and grace.
So for any girl or woman reading this:
I want you to feel good in your body.
I want you to feel safe in being a woman,
and expressing your soft side, your spiritual side, your sexual side, your intellectual side, your vulnerable side, your strong side, and your creative side. I want you to know that you don’t have to decide for one of these things, but that you can be all of them, all together and even far more than that. You can indeed be innocence in person, while you express your sexuality freely and shamelessly at the same time. In fact, I want you to embrace it. I want you to own it, and never let anyone make you feel bad for it.
I want you to know that you are beautiful, loved and valued for everything that you are, and that you want to become. I want to see you succeed, and I want to see you overflow with self-love and self-respect. When you look at other women I want you to forget any thought of separation, and instead bloom from the supportive love and empowerment of our sisterhood.
History and society try to keep us caged in untenable rules for what our bodies should look like, how we should behave, what we should think about ourselves, when to open our mouths, what topics to talk about, and how much to achieve. We have the strength to unfold our wings and push, achieve, grow and create beyond these limits.
We have the strength, and we have the responsibility.
We not only create our own future, we create the future for the next generation, for our younger sisters and our daughters.
I’m so over people trying to keep us small and quiet. That’s against our nature.
We are creators of life, wild and pure female energy, mothers of men, and goddesses. There is no reason to not celebrate and embrace that, and if it scares people- let them be scared! Let’s express ourselves through our words, actions and art, and let’s cultivate love and courage while we do so. Let’s stay scary.
Ladies, I want you to roar!
Sorry, not sorry at all if I made anybody uncomfortable with this. Feel the responsibility to at least try to spread such content and encourage girls and woman who need to hear this. And if I reached one single heart, then it was totally worth it.
Stay all magical! x
